hi, for an art project I made a game inspired by two artists - Dr Seuss and M.C Escher.

I loved how they used different view points and weird architecture to involve the viewer in their paintings, so for my main project I made this game.

in the game you build a sprawling city, with buildings standing on top of each other in strange and unreal ways.

how to play:

on the top of the screen you can see your points, they are like your money, and you can use them to build buildings.

to build a building, drag a building you can afford to a build point, build points look like small yellow circles.

while dragging the building, you can use the arrow keys to rotate it.

building you build give you points over time, press on a building glowing blue to collect points from it.

you can press the quests button in the top left to see your goals.

every building has unique attributes:

the rooftop - the roof top doesn't generate any points, instead, it doubles the points the building below it generates. rooftops stack.

the house - generates 6 points every few seconds, also creates a human walking around him, the human doesn't do anything, but he is kinda cute.

the tower - like the house, but more expensive and generates 14 points. he also has a human walking around him. neat.

the staircase - generates 10 points every few seconds.

the arch - the arch generates 10 points every few seconds, additionally, if the arch connects two different buildings, they will generate points faster;

the tree - the tree has a bird flying around it, every time the bird touches a building, she will collect points for you. additionally the tree generates 5 points, but does so very slowly.

and this is it I think, I enjoyed working on this project, learned a lot, and it did really well at my school.

have fun!
