Slash, dash and cut your way through enemy filled rooms, in a fast paced minimalist action game.

The game revolves around the Neon Blade, You can use the blade to dash through the air, hurt enemies and deflect bullets. You can also throw it, and teleport to its position.

WASD/Arrow keys to move.

Left click to slash - dash in a direction and hit enemies on the way. deflects bullets.

Right click to throw the blade or to teleport to it if it is thrown already.

R to restart

Disclaimer: there is 1 specific level that does not teach its mechanic well, and I see a lot of people getting stuck there which is a bummer. for now here is a diagram of how to beat that and ill revisit the game after the jam.

The game was made in 3 days for the indie jam #3. I developed the game alone.

I had a lot of fun making the game, I learned and improved a lot and I am proud of the finished result.

Neon Blade Gameplay

Thank you for playing! I see you also strggled with that one level. The idea is to teleport while your blade is still moving. I should revisit the game after the jam and clean it up. For now I wil add for it a disclaimer on the game page.

Great idea, reminds me of Portal a bit with the teleporting mechanics.

I didn't beat it though.

Hi, ty for playing! what level did you struggle with?

It's hard to explain the levels in just words, but it's the one with just one enemy in a tall room that is  bordered with red walls. I'd imagine you need to is precisely aim the blade so you can teleport to the enemy, something I didn't want to bother with.
Still had a good time though.

Yea, the idea of the level is to tech you to teleport while your blade is still moving, and then jump on the enemy afterwards. Ill try to make it a little more clear. thank you!

I had no idea you could even teleport while it was still moving, assumed you had to wait for it to get stuck on a surface before teleporting.

Makes me want to retry it later.

yes! I also adjusted the level according to the feedback and made it more clear. would love if you could give the game another try.

Good game I'm not addicted or anything
